Studied the effect upon a motor (key-pressing) response and verbal (number-naming) response of the rate of stimulus presentation and of the number of alternative stimuli employed. Found an increased rate of information transmission with an increase in the number of alternative stimuli and a decrease in the rate of stimulus presentation.
