Development and nutrition of Prodenia litura on four food plants.

在28.1℃的实验室温度和84.0%的相对湿度条件下，研究了蓖麻、豇豆、木瓜和香蕉4种食用植物对斜纹Prodenia litura发育和营养的影响。结果表明：以4种取食植物为食，斜纹夜蛾幼虫的发育时间、蛹重和营养功能均存在显著差异。其中以蓖麻为食的幼虫发育时间最短（9.93 d），蛹重最重（377.8 mg）；以香蕉为食的幼虫发育时间最长（15.84 d），蛹重最轻（245.6 mg）；蓖麻对幼虫成活率为98%，香蕉对幼虫成活率为66.0%；蓖麻饲喂时斜纹小蠊的消耗指数、近似消化率和相对生长率最高，分别为5.458、68.492、0.531，香蕉饲喂时最低，分别为0.860、16.300、0.255。蓖麻是一种比香蕉更适合的食物植物。
The effects of four food plants(castor,cowpea,papaya,and banana) on the development and nutriention of Prodenia litura were studied under 28.1℃ of laboratory temperature and 84.0% of relative humidity.The results showed that there were significant differences in developmental duration of larvae,pupa weight and nutrient function of the P.litura when fed on the four food plants.Among them,the larvae fed with the castor has the shortest developmental duration(9.93 d) and heaviest pupa weight(377.8 mg),while the larvae fed with the banana has the longest developmental duration(15.84 d) and the lightest pupa weiht(245.6 mg);the survival rate of the larvae was 98% when fed with the castor,while 66.0% when fed with banana;the consumption index,approximate digestibility,and relative growth rates of P.litura were the highest(5.458,68.492,0.531) when fed with castor,and those with banana were the lowest(0.860,16.300,0.255).The castor is a more sutible food plant to P.litura than bnana.
