We consider a generalization of Rado’s pursuit problem. A pursuer, moving in a circular arena with speed bounded by 1, tries to get as close as possible to an evader, moving along the circum-ference with speed bounded by $w geqq 1$. Using the approach of Ryll-Nardzewski and Varaiya and Lin, we formulate this problem as a differential game. Then we determine the value and construct optimal strategies for both players. Our results are compared with Isaacs’ on pursuit in the half-plane.
