[Li(thf)3cyclo-(P4tBu4CH)] (2-Li), containing the first tetraphosphacyclopentanide anion cyclo-(P4tBu4CH)- (2), was prepared, and its dynamic behaviour in solution analysed by variable-temperature 31P NMR spectroscopy.
