The purpose of this research is to improve the efficiency of electrolyte jet machining by using multiple nozzles. In conventional electrolyte jet machining, selective removal occurs electrochemically under the jet flow from a single nozzle. The multiple nozzle composed of several simple pipe nozzles was proposed in this study to improve machining efficiency, and influence of the interference between multiple jet flows on machining characteristics were investigated. It was found that use of the multiple nozzle is an effective way of improving both machining efficiency, and surface roughness. However, machining accuracy may deteriorate due to the interference between the adjacent electrolyte jet flows if the distance between the pipe nozzles is too narrow.
