The invention relates to a method for synchronizing recordings of two parallel operated video cameras, especially two digitally recording video recorders, for three dimensional representation of an image sequence. A light signal is keyed into the image area of both cameras and is simultaneously recorded by said cameras. The reproduction of the recordings is synchronized with the light signal thus recorded.
