Some aspects of small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) instrumentation for synchrotron radiation (SR) are considered below. The basic layout of instruments as well as some of the problems arising from the nature of the source and of the type of experiments are discussed. Further, a survey of the instruments available at major SR facilities is given.
