Active influenza virus, partially inactivated during cultivation in the allantoic cavities of chick embryos, interfered with propagation of active virus when both were injd. into embryonic eggs. This was measured by later titration of allantoic fluids. The expts. were also extended to mice where the interference phenomenon was also demonstrated.
