Single crystals of methylamine dehydrogenase and of complexes between methylamine dehydrogenase and both amicyanin and apo-amicyanin from Paracoccus denitrificans have been prepared by the vapour diffusion method. The methylamine dehydrogenase crystals belong to the orthorhombic space group P2 1 2 1 2 1 and have unit cell parameters a= 151· 78 A ̊, b= 135· 84 A ̊ and c= 55· 14 A ̊. The two complex crystals are isomorphous and are tetragonal, space group P4 1 2 1 2 or its enantiomer, and have cell parameters a= b= 124· 6 A ̊ and c= 247· 3 A ̊. The crystals diffract to beyond 2· 8 Å resolution.
