The first International workshop on Privacy Management in Mobile Applications (PriMo 2011) was held on the 27th of June, 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark in conjunction with the IFIPTM conference (The Fifth International Conference on Trust Management). Chaired by Clara Mancini (The Open University, UK) and Ryan Wishart (Imperial College London, UK), the workshop was supported by the Privacy Rights Management in Mobile Applications (PRiMMA) project. The workshop was initiated to promote an open exchange between researchers investigating privacy management issues in mobile applications. Particular areas of interest included: privacy methods for mobile systems; design solutions to address privacy in mobile systems; and policy-based privacy management techniques. The workshop drew leading international researchers from universities in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. To encourage lively discussion between these participants, the technical program was organized as a single track. The program track included four sessions. The first provided an overview of the PRiMMA project by Bashar Nuseibeh (The Open University, UK; University of Limerick, IE), followed by a Keynote lecture by Marc Langheinrich (University of Lugano, CH).
