The article examines the Crytosporidium (C) species associated with human infection including C. hominis and C. parvum in France and Haiti. The analyses showed a clonal structure in France that was basic in C. parvum and either basic or epidemic in the C. hominis population. They have found only three multilocus genotypes that were shared by human and animal C. parvum isolates.
