As you will see the referees are quite positive about the study and would support publication in The EMBO Journal if you could strengthen the manuscript further. One of the major issues raised is that the behavioural characterisation of the YF/YF mice needs to be expanded along the lines suggested. Second, the referees feel that some of the functional experiments that were performed with transfected cells should be performed with neurons from the YF/YF and WT mice.
