We developed a triphasic (solid-organic-aqueous) continuous-flow reaction system for the chemoselective oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols, using 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) immobilized on polyethylene-g-polyacrylic acid graft polymer (g-TEMPO). g-TEMPO exhibited higher contact efficiency than TEMPO supported on silica or cross-linked polystyrene under immiscible-flow conditions, and maintained excellent conversion for at least 9 days with no loss of catalytic activity.
