Ralph W. Tyler, who served as chairman of the Conference Committee on Next Steps, was formerly director of the Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences. YESTERDAY, every conference participant was asked to put in writing recommendations for action or policy by NASSP, recommendations directed toward the entire educational community, and recommendations directed to the total citizenry and its governing bodies. By 8:30 this morning, when the Committee on Next Steps convened, 31 statements were received. The Committee hopes that more suggestions will be sent in by the members of the Conference after they return home and have reflected upon the problems discussed here.
