Processing of the found points to get the lines and columns in the text, what we call the Braill e mesh determination. This works relates the principles of an optical character recognizer (O.C.R.) for the Braill e Code (the kind of writing used by blind people). We developed this system sponsored by the O.N.C.E. (National Organization of Spanish Blind People). The final program runs in the Windows environment (the mechanics is similar to a conventional O.C.R.). To implement the O.C.R. we used several topic of image processing and analysis such as adaptive thresholding and skew angle detection. Application of the Braill e alphabet to convert the located points into an ASCII text.
