In this article, the author reviews several developments related to CD34 stem cell and its applications in the current clinical research, diagnosis, and treatment. He also applies lessons from these CD34 developments to current issues related to human embryonic stem (HES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. He states after his research on MoAb and CD34 in 1982 several studies were conducted by using CD34 with existing MoAbs to trace the development of all the lineages of blood.
