In the period which has elapsed since the last review there has been no outstanding example of high-voltage transmission to record. Some of the schemes then described as" projected" have been in service for some time, others have not proceeded further. The maximum voltage of any line in service, the Boulder Dam-Los Angeles line, remains 287 kV; a further line is about to be added. 1 So far as is known there is no immediate intention of adopting a higher voltage than this anywhere.
