Abstract Indium(III) isopropoxide [In(Oi-Pr)3] was applicable as an Oppenauer oxidation catalyst, and the conversion of primary or secondary alcohols into the corresponding aldehydes or ketones was promoted at room temperature using pivalaldehyde as an oxidant.
