我很高兴地宣布加强我们的编辑委员会。自从我接替三村昌康教授担任主编以来，投稿和发表论文的数量大幅增加，四位编辑人数太少，无法应付投稿的激增。全体编辑和出版委员会成员都感到急需增加新的力量。我们现在介绍一个新的编辑委员会，如封面内侧所列。我谨代表编辑们表达我们对进一步扩大和改进《日本工业与应用数学杂志》的承诺。
It is my great pleasure to announce the strengthening of our editorial board. Since I assumed the position of Editor-in-Chief following Professor Masayasu Mimura, the number of submissions and published papers has substantially increased, and four editors are too few to deal with the upsurge in submissions. All the editors and the members of the publication committee have felt the urgent need of adding new forces. We are now introducing a new editorial board as is listed on the inside front cover. On behalf of the editors I would like to express our commitment to further expansion and improvement of the Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
