Initially, 275 patients at five clinical sites were assessed with either the standard version or a computerized version of the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire as part of the Leicester/DHSS project on microcomputer-aided assessment. Of this group, 170 were retested with the alternative form of the test. High correlations were found between the standard and computerized versions for all scales, except for thePscale which was unduly distorted by a subsample of Special Hospital patients. For other groups of subjects,Pscale reliability was high. No differences were found between the standard and computerized versions of the tests on any scale when the first administration data were analyzed separately. These results are interpreted as indicating that the computerized version of the test may be used, where appropriate, in place of the standard version.
