In my contribution to the ‘What is radical politics today?’ project, I think it is important to highlight the nature and character of radical art through three case studies. These are a work on paper, a new media sculpture and a guerrilla theatre performance. In doing so, I describe and reflect upon different ways of being political within the public sphere of visual culture, specifically in relation to the inequities of capitalist culture, abuses of human rights and investments in anti-war activism, in relation to the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
