Hydramethylnon was fed nonchoice to German cockroaches, Blattella germanica (L.), and LT50s and LC50s were calculated by probit analysis. The LT50s for the Orlando normal strain of German cockroach ranged from 4.47-9.95 days as the concentration of hydramethylnon in the bait decreased from 1.0% to 0.05%. The LC50s of hydramethylnon for the Orlando normal strain decreased from 0.267% to 0.05% as the time to achieve 50% mortality increased from 6 to 10 days. The House of Representatives, DC (HRDC) strain of organophosphate and carbamate insecticide resistant cockroaches had no resistance to hydramethylnon; whereas the Jacksonville strain had low-level resistance at bait concentrations > 0.1%, due to avoidance of the treated bait.
