Objective: The aim of the present study was to compare the mRNA expression of endothelin-1 (ET-1), ET-1 receptors ETA and ETB in myometrium and placenta obtained from biopsies collected from women with preeclampsia (n=10) or normal pregnant (n=12). Methods: The mRNA levels of ET-1, ETA and ETB were determined using RT-PCR and expressed as arbitrary units after correction for control GAPDH gene mRNA levels.
