(E,E)-3,4-Bis(2,4,6-tri-t-butylphenylphosphinidene)-1,2-bis(trimethylsilyl)cyclobutene was allowed to react with the group-6 metal(0) carbonyls to give stable tetracarbonyl complexes of chelate type, where the metal is chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten.
