LetWbe the Weyl group of typeF4: We explicitly describe a finite set of basic braidI*-transformations and show that any two reducedI*-expressions for a given involution inWcan be transformed into each other through a series of basic braidI*-transformations. Our main result extends the earlier work on the Weyl groups of classical types (i.e.,An,Bn, andDn).
