Universities have been trying to help students learn. However, students’ learning outcomes do not increase suitably, presumably because students lack eagerness to learning. We have been investigating the correlations of the students’ outcomes with their attitudes to the class by analyzing the usages of words in their looking-back evaluations. In this paper, we take another approach to this topic. We classify the words into 4 types which represent the students’ attitudes and viewpoints to the class. As we analyzed the correlation between the types of words students use and their examination scores, we found there are modest correlations between them.
