AbstractOccupational therapy as part of the care and treatment of addicts is a rather unknown area. This article describes several aspects of the care and treatment of addicts in the Netherlands and the manner in which occupational therapists contribute. The way in which forensics and treatment of addicts are linked and the part occupational therapy plays or could play within this treatment is also mentioned.
