2例因慢性腹泻接受全胃肠外营养的婴儿出现锌缺乏。两名婴儿都出现了肢端皮炎肠病样皮疹。从皮疹中培养出金黄色葡萄球菌。锌治疗后皮疹迅速痊愈，其他与缺锌症状一致的体征也随之消退。
Zn deficiency was observed in 2 infants receiving total parenteral alimentation for chronic diarrhea. An acrodermatitis enteropathica-like rash occurred in both of the infants. Staphylococcus aureus was cultured from the rash. Treatment with Zn resulted in rapid cure of the rash and a subsidence of other signs consistent with Zn deficiency.
