This was proved by Martin when Q/0. By introducing a modified functor when Q s 0, we prove this for Q s 0 as well. This is a very powerful result. It allows Martin to give an algorithm which computes the radical and dimensions of the irreducible modules for values of Q for Ž. which PQ is not semisimple. The structure of the partition algebra can n w x also be obtained from MW as described in the remarks at the end.
