在欧洲，Helichrysum arenarium（L.）在活性筛选的过程中，我们对沙生蜡菊花的甲醇提取物进行了活性筛选，结果表明，沙生蜡菊花的甲醇提取物具有明显的抗肿瘤活性，其抗肿瘤活性与沙生蜡菊花的醇提物相似，但其抗肿瘤活性与沙生蜡菊花的醇提物相似。Moench（Asteraceae，Everlasting in English）具有降血脂活性，为了寻找具有降血脂活性的化学成分，对其甲醇提取物进行了进一步的化学研究（硅胶柱、ODS凝胶柱、高效液相色谱法）分离得到6个化合物，并通过理化性质和光谱分析，从蜡菊中分得6个化合物，分别为淫羊藿苷F2（1）、淫羊藿苷D1（2）、苯乙醇-β-vicianoside（3）、苯甲醇-β-vicianoside（4）、苯甲酸-β-D-龙胆双糖苷（5）、苯乙醇-β-D-龙胆双糖苷（6）。
In Europe,the therapeutic application of Helichrysum arenarium(L.) Moench has been used as a folk medicine due to its choleretic,diuretic,and detoxify function for long time.The sap of its flos could be used to treat the disease of digestive system.During the course of our studies on activity screening,the methanolic extract of the flowers of Helichrysum arenarium(L.) Moench(Asteraceae,Everlasting in English) was found to have the lipid-lowering activity.For the purpose of finding the chemical constituents with the lipid-lowering activity,further chemical studied was carried out on its MeOH extracts.By various methods of isolation(silica gel column,ODS gel column,HPLC),six compounds were isolated,and with the methods of physico-chemical property and spectrographic analysis,six compounds were identified as lcariside F2(1),icariside D1(2),phenethanol-β-vicianoside(3),benzyl alcohol-β-vicianoside(4),benzoic acid-β-D-gentio-bioside(5),phenethanol-β-D-gentiobioside(6).Compounds 1-6 were obtained from Helichrysum Mill.for the first time.
