The simultaneous presence of cubic and monoclinic ZrO2and αZr reflections in selected area electron diffraction patterns taken from an oxide grown on αZr(0001) allowed the determination of a new cubic ZrO2lattice parameter ofa= 0.5135 ± 0.0005nm.
