The operation of any precipitator is closely related to its electrical energization, i.e. the way the power is delivered to the precipitator. Therefore, this aspect will be covered in detail. The ancillary electrical equipment used in the precipitator, such as rapping systems, insulator and hopper heaters and purge air system, will not be discussed.
