In this paper, we discuss various discussions concerning Meir-Keeler contractions and L-functions. We present a proof of Meir--Keeler's fixed point theorem. We modify Lim's characterization on Meir-Keeler contractions. And using the notion of T-distances, we prove a generalized Kannan's fixed point theorem, which concerns an L-function.
