ヴァヌアツ共和国の少数言語ツツバ語において, 10 台の数はオセアニア祖語を反映した加算法の Undercounting を用いるのに対し, 21 以上の数は Overcounting を用いる. Overcounting は 700 年代のオルホンの突厥碑文や, マヤ諸語, ゲルマン諸語にも見られる. この一見, 難解とも思える数え方は世界でも稀少であり, ツツバ語も含めその生成はこれまで不明であった.
