The mouse gene fort-complex polypeptide 2 (Tpx-2) was mapped to chromosome 17 using a 1.5-kb human testicular cDNA probe (clone 49HT8) in mouse × Chinese hamster and mouse × Syrian hamster somatic cell hybrids. The mouse gene was mapped betweenD17Leh27/D1Leh154andC3by analysis of restriction fragment length polymorphism in a C57BL/6J ×Mus spretusbackcross.
