In an investigation of the flutter of turbines it is necessary to know what is the influence on the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of a cascade of oscillating profiles of the interaction of cascades in a turbine. There are no significant theoretical results in the literature on this question, the analytic description of unsteady flow in a system of relatively moving cascades being very difficult. In the case when the cascade blades do not oscillate the problem of the aerodynamic interaction of the cascades was solved in the framework of the linear theory of small perturbations in an earlier paper [1] of the authors. In the present paper the method developed in [1] is generalized to the case of cascades of oscillating profiles. As in [1], cascades of thin weakly loaded profiles are considered. By the method of dipole singularities [2] the problem is reduced to an infinite system of singular integral equations, for which an approximate solution is obtained numerically when a finite number of harmonics is taken into account. The results of the calculations show that the interaction of the cascades can have a significant influence on the unsteady loadings on the oscillating blades.
