The simulation of the mesosphere is examined in a middle atmosphere GCM. Features examined include the zonal mean wind structure, the distribution of gravity wave drag, the meridional circulation, the evolution of the summer mesopause, the two-day wave, the four-day wave, and the diurnal tides.
