记述了越南山茶科两新种：山茶（Camellia vuquangensis Luong, Tran & LT Nguyen）和山茶（Camellia hatinhensis Luong, Tran & LT Nguyen）。新分类群采自越南中部武光国家公园。新发现的山茶花在形态上与所有已知的山茶花物种不同。近年来在越南发现的山茶属植物从50种增加到75种，使越南成为山茶属植物多样性研究的中心，成为进一步研究山茶属植物多样性和分布的重要地区。
Two new species of Camellia (Theaceae) are described from Vietnam: Camellia vuquangensis Luong, Tran & LT Nguyen and Camellia hatinhensis Luong, Tran & LT Nguyen. The new taxa were collected from Vu Quang National Park in the center of Vietnam. The new finds are morphologically dissimilar to all known Camellia species. Recent Camellia discoveries have increased the number of species recorded in Vietnam from 50 to 75, making Vietnam a center of diversity and a crucial area for more research into the diversity and distributions of Camellia.
