In this paper, we will study Lefschetz fibrations with the general fiber a Riemann surface Σ2of genus two, from C∞-point of view. It will be proved that the isomorphism classes of Lefschetz fibrations of genus ≥ 2 are determined by their global monodromies. Certain ‘fractional signature’ concentrated on singular fibers will be discussed. Some examples of Lefschetz fibrations of genus 2 will be given with special emphasis on their global monodromies. In particular, examples of two non-isomorphic Lefschetz fibrations whose total spaces are mutually homeomorphic will be given.
