This paper investigates synchronization in leader‐follower networks with varying time‐delay interconnections. In such a network, the leader has its own dynamics and is followed by all the other nodes. Specifically, a variable structure control strategy is developed for the synchronization of the leader‐follower networks based on the Lyapunov stability theory.
