Tests of twenty-six combinations, with and without paradichlorobenzene, against the hibernacula of the codling moth (Carpocapsa pomonella) in two-inch bands showed that the tar washes and the pine oils at the higher concentrations were quite effective under the conditions of the test. Chemically treated codling moth bands show much promise.
