We report on the prognostic value for sudden cardiac death of T-wave alternans in comparison with 10 other prognostic indexes during long-term follow-up in a large-scale cohort of post-myocardial infarction patients. T-wave alternans measured in the late phase of infarction is a strong risk stratifier for sudden cardiac death in infarct survivors.
