Sexual Behavior in the Human Male(1948) andSexual Behavior in the Human Female(1953), together known as the Kinsey Reports, have significantly impacted the history of sexuality and sexology in the twentieth century through the present. The Reports’ attention to the diversity of human sexuality through models like the 0–6 scale and to the anatomical and physiological similarity of men's and women's orgasmic capacities changed how academics, clinical and other professionals dealing with sexual matters, and how the general public thought about their sexual identities, behaviors, and desires. The Reports have affected legal, medical, psychological, political, and educational approaches to human sexuality and have provided insight for countless individuals into their own sexual selves.
