Abstract Six genera are recognized in the tribe Ammophilini: Ammophila, Podalonia, Eremnophila, Eremochares, Hoplammophila and Parapsammophila. A synonymical species checklist is given for the last three genera. A key to genera is provided which is based partially on characters heretofore unutilized.
