A simplified method for the determination of plasma triglycerides as glycerol is described. The new features of the method is the use of 5% ethanol in isopropyl ether for rapid and complete extraction of triglycerides. The sample is saponified in the same solvent which makes evaporation of the solvents unnecessary.
