Higgisia corloides，ng et sp.(P1.第十四条。图1-5。)海绵通常由不规则和茂盛生长的裂片压扁的枝条组成，簇生或连续地从一短而密的茎上升起；表面在垂直方向上深深地起皱，沟之间的脊很窄，在幼嫩的生长物中有锯齿状的突起，在较老的部分进入圆形或块茎突起，从而赋予海绵(现在干燥状态是白色)其独特的珊瑚状外观。
Higginsia coralloides, ng et sp.(P1. XIV. figs. 1-5.) General form flabellat% consisting of lobate compressed branches of irregular and luxuriant growth, united clathrously or continuously, rising from a short dense stem; surface deeply furrowed in a vertical direction, the ridges between the furrows being narrow and in the young growths serrated with tooth-like projections, passing in the older portions into rounded or tubercled prominences, thus giving the sponge (which now in its dried state is white) its peculiarly coral-like appearance.
