Weighted least squares analysis of categorical data is described for incomplete longitudinal data. It is shown that a simple modification of the well-known Grizzle et al. (1969) methodology leads to a relatively straightforward analysis of such incomplete data. An example, in which rates of obesity in school-age children are to be estimated, is used to illustrate the techniques. The analysis is easily performed on conventional computer programs for weighted regression analysis of categorical data.
