Villous adenomas of the duodenum are unusual tumors and usually present with gastrointestinal bleeding or obstruction of the duodenal lumen. We report a man with acute pancreatitis in whom we believe a villous adenoma involving the ampulla of Vater caused obstruction of the pancreatic duct.
