We presenta DynamicSpatiallyAugmentedRealitysystemfor augmentingmovable 3D objectsin an indoor environmentusing multiple projectors. We describea realtime systemfor applying virtual paint and texturesto real objectssimply by direct physicalmanipulationof the objectanda ”paint brush” stylus. We track the objects andthe ”paintbrush”,andilluminate the objectswith imagesthat remainregistered as they move, to createthe illusion of materialproperties. The systemis simple to useandwe hopeit mayheraldnew applicationsin diversefieldssuchasvisualization, tele-immersion,art andarchitecture.Thesystemcurrentlyworkswith trackedobjects whosegeometrywaspre-acquiredandmodelscreatedmanually, but it is possibleto extendit, by addingcamerasto theenvironment,to acquireobjectgeometryautomatically andusevision-basedtrackingfor theobjectandpaintbrush.
