The crystal structures and magnetic properties of chiral and achiral bimetallic layered compounds, [Cr(CN)6][Mn(R)-pnH(DMF)]·(2H2O) (1) and [Cr(CN)6][Mn(racemi)-pnH(DMF)]·(2H2O) (2) have been studied. X-ray structural analyses reveal that both compounds contain similar cyanide-bridged bimetallic sheet. The magnetic measurements demonstrate that compounds 1 and 2 behave as metamagnet and ferrimagnet below 30K, respectively.
